- Undertakes comparative analysis of bids
- Proposes to Client any change in the contract documents deemed necessary
- Evaluates the effect of the change on the contract amount and schedule
- Prepares change/variation orders
- Prepares progress reports
- Monitors the Contractor’s schedule
- Assesses the adequacy of mobilized equipment and labor
- Inspects Contractor installations
- Evaluates claims and makes recommendations to Client
- Computes quantities of approved works
- Evaluates the safety and management operations in place
- Informs Client of potential problems
- Maintains representatives on site for supervision
- Provides assistance to Contractor in interpreting contract documents or quality control testing
- Maintains inspection records
- Monitors service diversions and utility relocations
- Organizes a materials testing laboratory
- Issues certificate of substantial completion
- Performs any other tasks related to the effective supervision of the works
