Edward Davies and Associates, Ltd., (EDA), Consulting
Engineers, is an indigenous Sierra Leonean firm with
headquarters in Freetown, Sierra Leone.
The firm offers a combination of unrivalled professional
indigenous expertise, as well as multifaceted resources
toward effective solutions to development problems in the
local environment.
EDA has offered engineering and architectural consultancy
services for 44 years.
In 1963, EDA was established by an engineer, Edward J.
Davies, who became the Chief Executive Officer, (CEO).
In 1975, Engineer Sam Leigh joined the practice.
In 1977, the firm registered with the European Economic
Community, (EEC), through the National Authorizing Office in
Freetown.
In 1978, Edward Davies voluntarily retired, and Sam Leigh
succeeded him as CEO.
From its inception, EDA's management team has shown
clear vision and unprecedented courage. In recent
years, despite having been faced with tremendous
regional challenges, EDA has persevered, serving as an
inspiration to many people.
